The Spring Coming Home Retreat Recap

Listen to the blog post.

I just wrapped The Coming Home Retreat, and I have to laugh at a note I made:

  • Tolls

  • Towels

  • Tissues

These were the 3 things that I wrote down as insights. (Tell attendees about the tolls for certain roads, double-check that there are extra towels, and make sure to have at least two boxes of tissues!)

One of the biggest points of our sessions was that you learn so much more by doing than by trying to anticipate how it all will go.

I get it. Sitting back feels safe. But at some point, imagining must be replaced by doing.

If I could wrap up the magic that was felt and experienced by all it would be that what was practiced and explored during the 2-night stay and 3ish days were new thinking and feeling patterns.

Habitually living by our rhythms as creatives is a reality.

Thoughtful awareness and disruption are the path to new lived experiences and results.

I asked each woman to only focus on herself for the length of the retreat and the pilgrimage, both ways.

Each need was met with intention and love: from home-cooked meals, local prepared foods, favorite snacks, fresh flowers in every room, cheerfully wrapped gifts, ample space to be comfortable indoors and in nature, and the kinds of conversations and connections that can change your business and life.

Sometimes, what you need is to build your belief.

Other times, it’s about trusting new ways and not relying on old ones.

It’s okay to need help envisioning your direction and having clear goals and support to get there.

And my goodness, is it a miracle when you take the space that you need.

What makes all kinds of experience amazing is the willingness and courage it takes to make it happen.

Do you have willingness?

Do you have courage?

Then you have so much of what you will need to move forward towards your own goals.

Thank you to each attendee who came, who brought her love, her heart, and who was ready to do the work. It was so miraculous being with you.
